Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Hang Kia Village (L, D)

In the morning, you will be picked up by the vehicle and journey northwest to Hoa Binh province. After about 3,5 hours, arrive in Mai Chau and have lunch in Pom Coong village. Next, drive to Sa Linh for 3-hour trekking through some H’mong villages to get a closer look at their authentic lifestyle. Your accommodation today is a stilt house of H’mong minority people. Whilst enjoying their hospitality, you will discover a little more about their lives and culture.

Day 2: Hang Kia – Van Village (B. PL, D)

After breakfast, trek and hike to Van Village, home to the White Thai people. The trek will take you through some scenic scenery with jungle, corn plantations, rice paddies fields, and villages which provide you with an opportunity to closely observe mountainous life in Vietnam.

Your picnic lunch will be served along the way. By mid-afternoon, arrive in Van village where you can stroll down to the nearby stream or around the village. The local hosts for this evening will treat us to a good meal and stories of life in their village. They will also share their home-brewed rice wine and toast our good health and happiness.

Day 3: Van Village – Pom Coong Village (B, PL, D)

Spend the morning strolling around the surrounding villages and meeting villagers along the way. After a morning’s exploring, return to Xo village for lunch. Then embark on a 3-hour trek to the village of Na Meo where the vehicles await for driving to Pom Coong village for overnight in the homestay.

In the evening, see the Traditional Dance of the White Thai people. You will also have a chance to join them for the dance and drink the Can Wine, which is one of the local specialties.

Day 4: Pom Coong Village – Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)

In the morning, visit Mai Chau market then take an easy walk to some nearby villages. After lunch in Mai Chau, transfer back to Hanoi. You will arrive back in Hanoi by approximately 16:30. Trip ends.
